Non-Alcoholic, Alcohol Free & Low Alcohol Wines

Quite simply, non-alcoholic wine is just normal wine minus the alcohol content. To be classed as an alcohol free wine the ABV must be 0.05% or under. If a wine is under 1.2%ABV it can be classed as low alcohol.

How is non-alcoholic wine made?

There are a few different methods used by winemakers to make alcohol free or low alcohol wines, however in all cases wine is made in the ordinary way, then the alcohol is extracted afterwards using heat.

Is alcohol free wine any good?

Yes! People often ask whether non-alcoholic wine is just glorified grape juice but that’s simply not the case. Winemakers work hard to maintain the distinct aromas, flavours and mouthfeel of their wine so that people can enjoy it without the alcohol content.
