- The wines of this very well-regarded Domaine are on the prettier side, never overly extracted and always elegant and restrained.
- This is at a lovely stage of maturation, plenty of fruit, but the core is all minerals and crushed rocks. A wonderful bottle of red wine.

The Wine The Wine
France
Region:Burgundy - Gevery-Chambertin
This wine is really starting to open up now and shake off some of the tightness and restraint it showed a couple of years ago. Spending some time in bottle has allowed the fruit to swell a tad and pair up with the mouth-watering freshness it showed in its youth. Nicholas and David Rossignol run the Domaine and have now converted all their holdings to biodynamic viticulture practices. We recommend you decant before serving and, if you are pairing with food, duck breast with red cabbage and potato gratin is a sure-fire winning combo, even if a little predictable.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Nicholas & David Rossignol
Brothers Nicholas and David Rossignol have run the Domaine since 1990 and have since converted their entire holdings to biodynamic viticulture, with a focus on sustainability and natural practices in the vines. Their wines are on the lighter side of this region's typical denser style, but perhaps all the better for it. Their signature is one of restraint, often with whole bunch pressing, little or no pumping over and a very light touch once fermentations have finished.
"We're thrilled with how this bottling has developed, showing lots of soft red fruit alongside mineral complexity and, as with all our wines, it is the natural result of the seasons conditions, captured in the bottle to express our vineyards." - Nicholas and David Rossignol, Winemakers.
