Region:Burgundy - Bourgogne
This is an excellent expression of Burgundy's terroir, crafted by one of the most talented and highly regarded winemakers in the region, Benjamin Leroux. This wine is a beauty and showcases the subtle nuances found in Burgundy's Pinot Noir, particularly from the esteemed Côtes de Beaune region, where Leroux focuses much of his work. The nose has loads of bright red fruit especially raspberries and strawberries with subtle rose petal hints and just a little spiciness to the long, fresh, accomplished finish.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Benjamin Leroux
Benjamin Leroux has an impressive background in winemaking, having worked at Domaine Comte Armand before starting his own label in 2007. He is celebrated for his meticulous approach, emphasizing organic and biodynamic practices, low intervention in the cellar, and allowing the terroir to speak through his wines. His wines consistently exhibit elegance, purity, and finesse, making him a star in modern Burgundy winemaking.
"I'm really pleased with how this wine has ended up. It started from a really good place with a lovely softness to the fruit, which was naturally sweet and easy. A couple of years in bottle has seen it develop into a silky Pinot with good length and juicy structure." - Benjamin Leroux, Winemaker.
