Region:Languedoc - Limoux
This is a very special bottle of Blanquette de Limoux crafted by the Antech family at their lovely estate, which will be certified as organic from the 2025 harvest. Un Air de Fête is an ambitious project that sees the team focus their attention on the fine details. All the grapes are hand harvested plot by plot, subsequently fermented separately, carefully blended and are then ready for ageing. Enough of the technicalities - the main thing is that it tastes absolutely sensational. Crisp and exceptionally refreshing with orchard fruit notes and a long, balanced finish that continues its overall vibrancy.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Françoise and Baptiste Antech Gazeau
Since 1860, the Antech family have specialised in handcrafting premium sparkling wines in the lovely area of Limoux. Limoux, and Blanquette de Limoux, is widely accepted as the home of the first true ancestral sparkling wine and is also famous for having an amazing carnival lasting three months. They have some of the most prized vineyards in the whole region and have been working towards organic status since 2020.
"We make this lovely cuvée with our top parcels of Mauzac which are grown on limestone soils at altitude on the slopes of the incredible Pyrenees mountains. A fresh, crisp, dry Blanquette that is wonderfully bright and engaging and a true tribute to this festive, poetic and colourful carnival that punctuates local life." - Françoise and Baptiste Antech Gazeau, Winemakers.
