- The tanginess of goat’s cheese works very well with this lesser-known variety and and it's a winner when paired with a sweet onion tart.

The Wine The Wine
Australia
Region:South Australia
We’ve had a high-quality Verdelho from Australia in our range for many years now, and the repeat orders and solid ratings have made it a mainstay in the portfolio. This is a fantastic example - it's exceptionally crisp but is also full of juicy, ripe fruit that includes a nod towards the tropical. Everything is kept in check by a racy, lime edginess that allows for plenty of creativity when it comes to food matching. Always serve it nice and chilled to capture all of its vibrancy.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Andréa Maxwell
Andréa grew up in South Africa and completed her degree in Viticulture & Oenology at the University of Stellenbosch. Her love for wine developed early, starting a wine course while still in school. After two vintages in South Africa, she moved to Australia and has been ingrained in the industry since. In her spare time, she enjoys walking with her partner and their gorgeous English Cocker Spaniel, Darcy, through their own Shiraz vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale.
“If you talk about wine, it doesn’t matter what language you speak. It will intrinsically connect you to people.”
"There’s not a huge amount of Verdelho out here in South Australia, but what we do have produces really lovely wines and our long relationship with the growers means we get the pick of the fruit." - Andréa Maxwell, Winemaker.
