The last edition came in 2012 and it seemed like the right time to produce another one, with 15 years chalked up since we designed, created and launched our first Albacore release. We toyed with giving the bottle a bit of a refresh this time around, but settled on the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ approach, helped by the fact that we love the simple Japanese-style brush-stroke painting. The team selected a set of their most luscious and expressive Shiraz barrels, all produced from top sites in the McLaren Vale, and the wine itself is big and proud of its provenance. A wine full of complexity and intrigue with so much drinkability - the hallmark of the Albacore range.
