The Wine The Wine
France
Region:Burgundy - Beaujolais
The Beaujolais Villages appellation surrounds the 12 crus of the region and these steep, sloping vineyards with their blue granite soils produce a wide range of styles. However, they all have one thing in common: each cuvée is packed with red and black fruit character and a bucket-load of drinkability. This exclusive bottling is no exception and is a vibrant red with a mix of strawberry, red cherry and a hint of darker berry notes working alongside the ripe tannins, all finishing with a lick of mouth-watering cranberry fruit.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Samantha Bailey
Our strong winemaking philosophy developed to achieve our aim of making quality wines, which are representative of the region and variety at every price point. Minimal intervention in the winery, use of indigenous yeasts where possible, maximum aeration of the reds and judicious use of oak to enhance the wines where necessary are key to our success in making very drinkable and food friendly wines.
"The vibrant fresh berry flavours with a hint of crunchiness, make this easy-going fruit-forward Beaujolais wonderfully enjoyable to sit back and sip." - Samantha Bailey, Winemaker.
