The Wine The Wine
Chile
Region:Valle Central
This charming white was born from the friendship between winemaker Hernan Amenabar and the Virgin Wines' team of buyers. After trying 2 different plots of Sauvignon Blanc, one with joyful tropical fruits and the other with peachy elegance and finesse, it was decided that the buyers would create their own bespoke blend, combining the best of both worlds. After much taste-testing, they settled upon what they believe is the perfect balance of exuberance and poise. A wine that lovers of this grape will enjoy exploring, whilst also feeling right at home.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Hernan Amenabar
After graduating from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile 35 years ago, Hernan has been pursuing his passion in the vineyard and winery. Having worked for Vina Undurraga in a variety of roles before he joined the technical manager team in 2020 with the aim of making exceptional quality wines for export. Over the years, he has played a vital role in the evolution and growth of the Chilean wine industry.
"The Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested by hand during the second week of March to obtain a very good balance between alcohol and acidity after fermentation. The blend was then created with the Virgin Wines buying team, by blending 2 vineyard plots together, I am very happy with the finished wine as it is fresh in the mouth and intensely flavoured." - Hernan Amenabar, Winemaker.
