The Wine The Wine
France
Region:Languedoc
Fields filled with sunflowers, swaying in the breeze, are a common and captivating sight as you travel through the south of France, and we hope this label reminds of past travels and takes you back to the sunshine. The wine in the bottle is, of course, a great deal more important than the label that adorns the bottle. However, they often go hand in hand when creating new ranges and this classy sun-kissed Viognier with notes of fresh ginger, ripe stone fruit, and a long-textured finish is most definitely a match for the image.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Guillaume Letang
Winemaker Guillaume Létang could be said to have wine in his blood coming, as he does, from the north of Burgundy, near Chablis. After studying at Dijon University he started his career in 1998 in the Burgundy region, primarily in Maconnais and Beaujolais. With 8 years experience as a Cellar Master and 5 as Consultant Winemaker his knowledge and experience is in ever increasing demand.
"I used a little bit of oak during the fermentation, not too much, just a little to add some spicier notes. I'm really happy with how this wine finished up. It is a lovely style, has plenty of texture, with a fresh ginger character, great balance and should be served chilled, but not too cold." - Guillaume Létang, Winemaker.
