The team have made a few of these over the years from the K1 vineyard site in Kuitpo, up in the Adelaide Hills, all of which have been great wines that seem to gather additional complexity and intrigue over time. This is another very impressive example from one, if not the best Riesling plots the 5OS team have access to. It is built around a core of vibrant and engaging orchard fruit which tips into fresh mango, all framed by a crisp spiciness that adds texture and length to all the fruit characters on show. Great right now but will keep evolving for a while in bottle if you'd like it to develop a little more richness.

The 5OS Project celebrates the creative diversity of modern Australia. The winery, located in the heart of the McLaren Vale, is where the team, headed up by Steve Grimley, focus on crafting truly unique wines on a very small scale. Sometimes just a few hundred bottles, so be prepared for small moments of disappointment when something sells out. We say small moments because the range will always have interesting backups for you to go at. The wines in bottle will wow you with their intensity and character and the packaging is nothing short of incredible, often adapted from artwork produced by talented local artists. To sum it up, the 5OS Project is an ever-evolving collection of wine releases, hand-crafted by a team of incredibly talented, elite individuals.
"This is a lovely colour in the glass when swirled, with hints of gold and still holding the flecks of green of youth. The nose shows green apple with a hint of lanolin and fresh green mango.
