When at its best, like this bottling from the amazing Domaine de Montille, it is the perfect blend of Puligny's mineral drive and elegance working in perfect harmony with the broadness and depth of a classic Meursault. This is a gorgeous bottle of wine that is loaded with character and layered with texture. An intense nose which is mineral led, shows obvious oak that is exceptionally well managed. It is both plush and tight, open yet restrained. The profile is persistent with loads of energy showcasing perfectly knitted fruit, oak and minerality.
