The Wine The Wine
Australia
Region:Coonawarra
From one of the best regions for producing outstanding Chardonnay in Australia, this wine is an excellent example of the expertise that emanates from the Wrattonbully region. Wrattonbully falls under the Limestone Coast region, with a wonderful mix of limestone reefs and terra-rossa soil – very similar to the highly regarded Coonawarra soils. This is a bright Chardonnay that has zing and zest to the fruit whilst also boasting notes of almond and buttery popcorn, giving the wine complexity and body. It is a great white wine for all occasions.
The Winemaker The Winemaker

Andréa Maxwell
Andréa grew up in South Africa and completed her degree in Viticulture & Oenology at the University of Stellenbosch. Her love for wine developed early, starting a wine course while still in school. After two vintages in South Africa, she moved to Australia and has been ingrained in the industry since. In her spare time, she enjoys walking with her partner and their gorgeous English Cocker Spaniel, Darcy, through their own Shiraz vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale.
“If you talk about wine, it doesn’t matter what language you speak. It will intrinsically connect you to people.”
"The use of some older oak during and post fermentation has given this classic Aussie white a little extra juiciness and rounded off any angular edges. The result is a thirst-quenching Chardonnay with great balanced and a long finish." - Andréa Maxwell, Winemaker.
