Tupungato offers dramatic vineyard sites, with views over the snow-capped Andes. It is at the centre of the famous Malbec Route 89, and is home to superb high-altitude vineyards where cool temperatures give Malbec an exceptionally long ripening period - the key to producing world-class wines. It is said that "great wine is made in the vineyard", and in the case of these Malbec vines, there's little that can be done by winemakers other than to enable the fruit to shine as purely and deliciously as possible.
