The Wine The Wine
South Africa
Region:Western Cape
Often overlooked, Cinsault is most famously used in Southern Rhône wines, including the iconic blend: Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In the vineyards of the Western Cape we found this little number, crafted to perfection by Ryno Boosyen to showcase this grape in all its glory. Cinsault is somewhere between Grenache and Pinot Noir in style, making it a great Tuesday night tipple. Bursting with ripe raspberry, violets and plum fruit, with a lick of warming spice on the finish.

The wine must express where it comes from, you must be able to taste the soil, the quality of the grapes and lastly, hopefully, something from me as the winemaker - you will end up with a wine destined for greatness.
"Cinsault has, unbelievably, been overlooked in the Cape for too long. This is a rich and aromatic red that is packed full of heady aromas of fresh damsons, plum sauce, and star anise. These show through on a concentrated yet delicate palate." - Ryno Booysen, Winemaker.
