The Wine

Country of origin:

New Zealand

Region:

Marlborough

Founder Dr John Forrest is still very much involved in the day to day running of the estate but his daughter Beth is taking on more responsibility. We worked very closely with her on this exclusive project, carefully blending up from small batches to get to the right flavour profile and style we know our customers love. This rosé is driven by Pinot Noir with a little support from the somewhat obscure Italian variety, Arneis. Packed with ripe strawberry and raspberry fruit character and a palate that finishes with a crunch and leaves you looking forward to your next sip.

The Winemaker

Beth Forrest
Winemaker:

Beth Forrest

The team at Forrest have been working tirelessly to make lower ABV wines by following more traditional processes in the vineyards and winery, not looking to technology to do the work for them. The biggest problem was getting the balance between the sugar and acid right, especially the sugar. Through meticulous vineyard work and strict temperature control through fermentations they've achieved what they set out to do - make naturally lower ABV wines that are wonderfully balanced and deliver top-notch drinking.

"This rosé has a really exciting explosion of flavour. I love the fresh strawberries that mingle with a hint of aromatic herbs like sage and thyme. The wine is exceptionally fresh and lively, it practically dances its way across your palate to a crisp and dry finish." - Beth Forrest, Winemaker.

Came in a pre pack case, found it to dry and not to my liking now

Tangy and bone dry, unpleasant nose.
