In its conceptual stage this wine started out as a 100% Carignan, but in their pursuit of perfection the team felt that a small part was missing. Hours of blending with other top parcels finally came to fruition. Premium Cab and a dash of top Sangiovese, both from McLaren Vale, completed the jigsaw. Traditionally these three varieties live in quite different Old World regions, but the pioneering attitude of Steve and his team in Oz don't see these boundaries. Without this anything-possible approach, wine would soon become a stagnant swamp.
