Hubert Lamy La Princee Saint-Aubin 2018
£37.00
- The vineyards of Saint-Aubin sit higher up, above Puligny and Chassagne and are a little cooler, layering the wines with additional freshness.
- This is a wine that really needs food for it to show its best. Pair with seafood dishes especially Asian spiced salmon.
- "Lamy is one of the great, not yet widely discovered domaines in all of Burgundy. Readers should do whatever they can to check out these fabulous wines."- The Wine Advocate

Region:Burgundy - Côte de Beaune
Olivier Lamy (Hubert's son) now heads up winemaking at this lovely Domaine and he has been instrumental in raising the reputation of the Saint-Aubin region. It is still regarded as one of the best value regions across the whole of Burgundy, which seems a little absurd considering this bottle is over £35, but when compared to top-end Puligny and Meursault it is still relatively affordable. The lifted nose is heavily scented with herbs, loads of citrus fruit, especially lemon. This is a tightly knit white from an excellent vintage that should be enjoyed over the next few years.
