This dry and fragrant white is made from 100% Furmint (pronounced foor-meent). It is Hungary's leading white grape variety and is a seriously hot ticket right now. People are looking not only for great quality but wines that are also interesting. This has both in spades. Produced using hand-harvested grapes from vines planted on the volcanic soils of the Lapis vineyard, this is a layered white with plenty of rich, spicy apricot fruit and lovely mineral freshness. A great match for paté and warm crusty bread or mushroom dishes.
