Asia de Cuba is the winemaker's reference to the versatility of this German Riesling. Its slight sweetness, with lime fruit on the palate, is a match made in heaven for spicy Asian food, yet that sweetness, balanced with fresh lemons and limes, would make it an ideal aperitif chilled right down while you lay in your British back garden pretending you're sprawled out on one of Cuba's balmy beaches. Cracking value too!
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Gunther Hiestand
Gunther Hiestand has been responsible for his family's vineyards and wine cellars since 2012. After many years in the role as president of German Young Farmers Organization he took a break in 2011 to discover the wine regions of the southern hemisphere. Now working in a wine cellar built in the 18th century, applying the knowledge and expertise of many generations, the focus rests on trusting natural processes and influencing the development of wines as little as possible.
"A versatile Riesling that's slightly sweet but with a citrus kick on the palate that keeps it well balanced." - Gunther Hiestand, Winemaker.
