On a trip to Chile in 2015 we ventured down south to the Itata Valley where De Martino have been saving some amazing vineyards (some of the oldest in Chile) from extinction and making some seriously good wines. This is a unique wine blended up from Cinsault and Pais. Two less famous varieties giving a lighter style of red but there's no lack of intensity. Vibrant mixture of fresh red berries with some blackcurrant notes. A lovely natural feel on the palate with a coffee note and some floral hints.
