Region:This classy Riesling is from some seriously low yielding 80 year old vines in the Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard, which is part of the world famous 'Bernkasteler Doctor' vineyard. There's a fabulous tale from the 13th Century about how a few glasses of wine from this site healed the ailments of an Archbishop and he subsequently granted the site with the title of 'Doctor'. The nose has a spicy intensity with dried stone fruit and honey. The palate has lemon fruit and orange notes, finishing long and fresh.
