Red CNDP steals all the headlines, but some producers craft small quantities of unusual, nervy and, quite frankly, amazing whites. Domaine Chante Cigale is one such producer. An equal blend of four local varietals; Clairette, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc; produces a full-bodied white with richness and delicacy. Attractive and approachable now, but worth saving to develop nutty nuances.

Alex Favier
Winemaker Alex Favier says, "At Chante Cigale, our role is to allow the vines to make the grapes and we are involved to make the wine in a style that expresses these vines and vineyards and the fruit they produce. We try to make our quality the very best and hope that it shows what this area of the Rhône can produce at a high quality."
"The grapes for this wine were hand-selected at every stage to ensure that only the best grapes made it into final product. The wine is aged for up to 6 months on the lees to give it a lovely full body. I think that this wine is incredibly stylish, with an exotic floral bouquet that unleashes an explosion of tropical fruit flavours on the palate." - Alex Favier, Winemaker.
