Here our winemaker, Jose Miguel Ovalle has worked his magic creating bold and fruity Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon blends. As a result, this wine is bursting with succulent notes of red and black fruits complemented by hints of spice and subtle tannins on the palate. This wine is a real treat! A very crowd-pleasing, boisterous wine from some of our favourite boys in Australian wine, Dave and Frank. From their base near the town of Piangil in Victoria this intrepid pair are creating a storm with their impactful, fruity, and downright delicious wines. We feel that the addition of a small soupçon of Cabernet, with its blackcurrant laced with spice, is the perfect complement to the more robust, muscular fruit of Shiraz. A great all-rounder.

It's an ideal red to drink on a cool evening, but stands up very well to stews and casseroles too.

El Zumbido ('the buzz') is a local nickname for the wind that whistles through the vines up in the hills of Cariñena. This wind is critical to the style of this Viura. Ripened well in the Spanish sun, the grapes develop lovely peach aromas backed up by pear. But it's the El Zumbido that keeps the wine from becoming overripe and sticky, delivering an integral freshness that completes a very moreish wine.

As you walk through the rolling vineyards of the Cramele Recas estate, if you didn't know where you were you'd be convinced you were in Northern Rhône or any other "Classic" European wine producing region - and to a certain extent you are. Romania has a history of winemaking stretching back millennia. So, whilst you may not recognise the name of the region or the grape variety, you are in very safe hands with this beautifully proportioned white. It is aromatic with notes of apricot, peach and summer blossom of rose and honeysuckle. Yet despite these heady flavours the finish is clean, while the stone fruit lingers long into the finish.
