Sourced from the sun-drenched Mediterranean coast of France, this blend of grapes offers a playful take on a classic Rhône combination. The vibrant raspberry and peppery notes of Grenache are prominent, complemented by rich damson and black cherry flavours from the Shiraz. Aguila Chillando Tempranillo 2023

These high-altitude vineyards have a unique feature that many others cannot boast. It's not uncommon to hear the screech of an eagle that can be seen soaring above the vines, searching for prey. The altitude here gives a freshness to an otherwise dark-fruited Tempranillo with hints of chocolate and spice. It's an ideal red to drink on a cool evening, but stands up very well to stews and casseroles too.

Hielo y Fuego Merlot 2023

Chile is a land of ice and fire. The four seasons are very marked, with cold and rainy winters - and dry, prolonged summers without rain. Luckily, in spite of these blazing summers which help to ripen the grapes, the vines remain watered by the cool snow melt flowing down from the mountains. This makes for beautiful wines like this Merlot, which has a deliciously fresh character due to the coastal vineyards where the fruit comes from.

This little ripper is another superb offering from winemaker David King. A Shiraz with a juicy black cherry and blackberry nose with spicy undertones. The winemaking is first-class and, being family owned and run, they are dedicated to achieving the very best quality. It makes the perfect accompaniment to wintery foods such as grilled meats, grilled vegetables, wild game or even beef stew.

Senti Prosecco Extra Dry NV

Veneto is home to a number of Italy's classic wine regions but it is the sparkling wines from Prosecco that currently have a buzz surrounding them. The best sparkling wines have both delicacy and intensity, something we nailed on a recent trip out to see top Prosecco winemaker Umberto Menini. A lovely style of fizz packed with apple and pear fruit and a little leafiness adding to its charm. A citrus-led palate and excellent intensity make Senti the perfect aperitif and celebratory sparkler.

Albacore Longfin Shiraz 2022

We commissioned this wine from our winemaking team in Oz to push the limit on the massively popular Albacore red and they have delivered in spades. This lavish creation has all the hallmarks of a top wine; beautifully textured, layered and lush fruit that fills the mouth, as well as a classic Aussie richness of fruit. It will also cellar well for at least a decade leaving you, at the end (should you make it), with a much more gastronomic and complex beast. Try it (at any time) with rare beef.

It's a wonderful thing when a good idea is exported and becomes something a little different, fruitier, and just a little bit richer. This is our Down Under version of the Italian classic that we are all very proud of here at head office. This has turned out beautifully, sporting lovely lemon-fresh fruit with crisp-apple vitality, born in the spirit of La Dolce Vita, and ready to be drunk as an aperitif or with white fish.

Wine may be considered art by many, but it's the science behind each particular vineyard that shapes the character of the finished wine: location; climate, soil plus that little enigmatic something that the French call "terroir". This Sauvignon Blanc hails from a fine single site in a unique desert-influenced location, where searing sun coaxes the grapes to perfect ripeness, whilst cooling breezes provide welcome coolness, imbuing the fruit with great depth of flavour. It shows tight and bright tropical fruit but remains restrained and controlled with a lovely refreshing edge to it. A singular expression of a unique and special place.

The Just the Juice range picks out the wine styles that we think are starting to get worthy attention. Vermentino can make a lovely wine style with great balance between fresh citrus fruit, herbal hints and approachable texture. It grows well in Sicily where it takes on a slight salty flavour on the palate from the island's sea breezes. This is the final piece in the food-matching jigsaw where it provides the perfect palate preparation for all kinds of seafood.

Curious Parallel Feteasca Regala 2023

As you walk through the rolling vineyards of the Cramele Recas estate, if you didn't know where you were you'd be convinced you were in Northern Rhône or any other "Classic" European wine producing region - and to a certain extent you are. Romania has a history of winemaking stretching back millennia. So, whilst you may not recognise the name of the region or the grape variety, you are in very safe hands with this beautifully proportioned white. It is aromatic with notes of apricot, peach and summer blossom of rose and honeysuckle. Yet despite these heady flavours the finish is clean, while the stone fruit lingers long into the finish.

Swan Neck Decanter

The wine rapidly aerates as it is transferred to the decanter and then sits at the largest area of the vessel, creating maximum surface area to allow the wine to breath and the narrow ‘swans neck’ allows it to pour gently and with precision.
