The cellars of Rioja really can be as romantic as they sound. Barrel upon barrel of delicious wine, resting and waiting to be bottled to head off to another happy wine drinker. However, logistics cannot be ignored and harvest-time can provide some urgency to create space for the new wine coming in to begin its long and patient journey through the cellar. But some years later the vines were re-discovered - and the rest is history! Now Pinotage is recognised as South Africa's signature variety. The return of our AKA label - reserved for some of our top finds that must remain anonymous - brings with it a luscious appassimento that is fine silk in a glass. While we can't divulge the producer, the region of origin is abundantly clear; its rich black fruits, mouth-filling ripeness and unique and complex fruit and spice combinations could only come from the sun-drenched vineyards of Puglia, Italy. This is to be enjoyed best alongside strong cheeses and chargrilled meat and vegetables.

Our Two Plus One series of wines are created as much in the vineyard as they are in the winery itself by carefully selecting parcels of grapes and, once vinified, taking something already excellent and amplifying that by adding one part of something truly exceptional. This release focusses on the noble French variety, Pinot Noir and it is a wine with oodles of fruit character, that is pinned on fresh strawberries and raspberries. Wonderfully juicy with supple tannins and more drinkability than you can shake a stick at.

We fought good and hard to get this, with our winemaking team in Oz to help us. We have loads of Remington-liked-it-so-much-we-bought-the-company moments and this was one. A wonderful parcel of South Australian Sauvignon Blanc came up, and we bought it all for a knock-off trotter price. Which is not to say the wine isn't awesome. This one is clean as a whistle and has crisp citrus and tropical fruit allure.

Billy Bosch Highwire Chenin Blanc is made from the finest dry-grown bush-vines. Winemaker Willie Stofberg harnesses this naturally formed nectar to create an enigmatic and characterful white with plenty of weight. Pear and orchard fruit leads on to a seamless citrus and mineral-laden finish. Simply ravishing.
