Malbec's birthplace and spiritual home is in the south of France. In recent times, the wines from Argentina's Mendoza region have been getting all the attention, but we've always looked to include some excellent French offerings when the value and quality are on point. That's exactly what the wines from this vintage were and this reserve-quality bottling is an absolute banger and, like its Argentinian cousin, makes an ideal match for grilled and griddled meats, where the glossy sweet fruit and juicy tannins come into their own.

Trois Calices Grenache Vin De France 2022

Vin De France is a label that allows creativity and innovation within French winemaking. Grapes can be taken from anywhere in France and blended however they like, allowing for the creation of outstanding wines without the limitation of the borders of French regions. Our winemaker, Cedric Ragues, has used this to his advantage within this Grenache. Sourcing grapes from southern France has resulted in a delightful expression of this classic French grape variety, with juicy notes of red fruit complemented by subtle spice. A great easy-drinking wine for all occasions.

L'Artisan Grenache Noir 2022

We’d discussed blending a pure Grenache Noir with Languedoc winemaker Cederic Ragues and set about it back in December 2023. It was cold, and we couldn’t get to him until the evening due to prior commitments, so he suggested we did it at his family home. It all took place around his kitchen dinner table, surrounded by samples and blending apparatus. We tinkered away and the finished wine is a raspberry and cherry fruit-filled classic, perfect for enjoying all year round, either by the glass or paired with a wide variety of home-cooked classics.

Les Arbousiers Reserve Rosé 2023

This wine is made in the stunning vineyard area of the Aude, in the Occitanie region in southern France. It's a viticultural paradise that sits close to the mighty Pyrenees. Jean-Luc Terrier, the winemaker, also has an estate in Burgundy and applies all his knowledge equally in both domains. This pale pink wine has a complex nose of red fruits, peach, and flowers. It is fresh and fruity, with a light body and an aromatic finesse. It's thirst-slaking and quite ravishing.

This wine is part of our Two Plus One series, wines that are created as much in the vineyard as they are in the winery. We carefully select parcels of grapes and, once vinified, take something already excellent and amplify it by adding one part of something truly exceptional. This release focuses on Viognier, using a small parcel of wine from the Narbonne area of the Languedoc for the base, which is vibrant and full of fresh apricot fruit, and adding a dash of an oaked parcel that adds weight, structure and richness.

All the things we know you love about Sauvignon Blanc are right here in this zesty zinger, which comes from some wonderful vineyards south of the historic city of Carcassonne. The nose has notes of subtle cut grass and a little citrus elegance, but it is on the palate where this wine really comes to life - a wave of zesty crispness with a sharply defined grapefruit flair, a whistle-clean finish and balanced, lingering flavours.
