After the success of producing a straight Grenache in 2022, we wanted to take things up a notch and the naturally low-yielding 2023 vintage gave us the chance to add some black-fruit-packed Syrah and a dash of meaty Mourvèdre into the mix. This blackberry and cherry fruit-filled Cape red is a wine with wide-ranging appeal. It's a great wine to open for a dinner party or family gathering and a safe bet to make an occasion out of a moment. The blend is based on a majority of Grenache, with Syrah and Mourvèdre completing the trio. Mighty Mourvèdre lends that extra bit of structure for pairing with everyday dishes, or to raise the roof for a Sunday roast.

When our winemaker, Steve, was offered this parcel, he recognised that it was the best fruit he'd seen in years and produced a wine that sat above our all-time-favourite Aussie red - The Black Pig! It has a depth of black fruit that is incredible alongside intense spice and a full-bodied style that screams out for grilled meats of all kinds, although its status as a vegan-friendly wine makes it a popular choice across the board.

Champagne Gremillet is a small but beautifully formed, family-owned Champagne house. Due to its southern latitude in Troyes, the grapes achieve a greater ripeness which leads to richer fruit. This combines perfectly with classic biscuit flavours mixed with toasty yeast overtones that develop from 18 months of maturation on lees. In the glass, Champagne Gremillet Ambassadeur Brut NV shows fresh floral aromas combined with characteristic sweet brioche overtones, balanced by peach skin and baked biscuit flavours with a crisp citrus finish and a fine mousse. Great for celebrations, but even better when you feel like a spot of lurid self-indulgence. Go on, treat yourself.

Graceful and beguiling, Provence rosé tends to command a higher price than other rosés. This is a mainstay of our Australian portfolio that adds a nice bit of variety to the wines we ship out of South Australia. Strout Road Vintners is a multi-varietal white blend, with the lion's share of that taken up by Semillon, which we used as the building block. We then set about carefully layering on top little dashes of Viognier, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The finished wine is wonderfully expressive with just a touch of creaminess that's balanced out by a gorgeous mouth-watering acidity. An epic white that is very much more than the sum of its parts.
