This wine is a classic Bordeaux blend given the Aussie treatment, (given a bit of girth) and mellowed in premium oak barrels in the winery cellar. The effect is dramatic: a superb weight with its punchiness softened; fruit and oak are harmonised; exuberant Aussie fruit is slightly tamed and the juice, now bottled, is starting to take on secondary qualities of earth and leather. It packs a serious punch as there's still plenty of juicy, dark fruit character for your palate to bathe in.

The quality of wine you get here for the price is quite possibly unrivalled. Only the best fruit gets selected for Gran Reserva as it needs the higher quality to stand the test of time. And then it's left to mature in fine oak barrels for two years (they ain't cheap) before bottling and stored before eventual release. The end result is a wine with complexity and elegance, full of dried fruit aromas and spicy character. The ultimate match for robustly flavoured foods.

When it comes to growing grapes, location is everything. The difference between something so-so and spectacular can often be measured in metres. X Marks the Spot showcases world-class wines from some unique and amazing sites. This fruity Chilean Pinot Noir from the Valle Central celebrates this most dramatic landscape, where the mighty Andes provide water and shelter for the verdant vineyards in its shadow.

Prosecco has been the top selling fizz in the UK for the last few years (even beating Champagne and Cava). It's made from a white grape called Glera, but in 2020 it was ruled that a small percentage of Pinot Noir could be added to the Glera in order to create pink Prosecco! Cue cheers from all directions! And so the Senti Prosecco Rosé was born, made from grapes grown in the prestigious Prosecco region, capturing that same enjoyment, refreshment and celebratory spirit that we know you adore.

With craft gin sales going ballistic in recent times we decided to have a bash at creating a recipe ourselves. We say ourselves, along with some qualified help! We enlisted the skills of expert distiller Richard Marsden working out of a tiny base up in Yarm and set about getting creative with the botanicals. It's a really interesting process and the difference in flavour you can achieve by just tweaking the amounts slightly is really quite astounding. When you make a product from the bottom up, so to speak, like we often do with our wines, you get to do everything, from name and design through to the bottle shape and closure. We are fully stoked with how this has all come together and we hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoyed making it.

I have searched and searched for the rosé that I want (selfish I know). That pretty, pale pink, light, tiny-bit-sweet but devastatingly, mouth-wateringly refreshing rosé. And now I've found it. The young Languedoc gun of a winemaker, Jean Marie, may have eyebrows that caterpillars are sexually drawn to, but by 'eck he can make wine. Especially rosé. And I just love it.

This is rosé just how we like it. The use of quality Garnacha, from high altitude vineyards, with the colour and flavour gently extracted in the winery makes for a wine with an abundance of pretty red summer fruits with a delicate and easy texture. It's one that has the natural ripeness to balance the spices of Asian food, and the ease that puts it right at home on a summer's afternoon.
Amatista Moscato Rosé NV

Little, ancient, multi-talented Muscat has slipped out of the limelight and gains little or no attention these days. But a good glass of chilled Muscat, or Moscatel in Spain, is one of the most refreshing drinks out there! Amatista is a cheeky semi-sparkling rosé from Valencia, (where we source one of our top-rated Gran Reserva) and has been a massive hit with locals. Light in alcohol, a little sparkle, smacks of sweetness and crammed with red berry fruit. Chill and prepare for serious refreshment!

Named after the five-pointed star shape of the Castle of Good Hope on Cape Town's foreshore, this South African classic comes from ancient, mineral-rich vineyards which are cooled by the coastal breezes. It’s a mouth-watering Sauvignon Blanc with ripe, tropical fruit flavours and a twist of crisp citrus, leading to a finely balanced, zesty finish.
The Black Pig Viognier 2023

All too often Viognier is just too much. Too intensely aromatic. Too rich. Too alcoholic. But! When you turn it down from 11 and aim for a solid 8 you can really appreciate the flavour profile of this classy grape variety. We don't put anything under our huge 'Black Pig' label unless it really is the cream of the crop, so expect no pulled punches here. This wine bridges the gap between New World fruitiness and Old World elegance. Plenty of stone fruit character with a freshness that belies the warm clime.
The Black Pig Pinot Grigio 2023

After the roaring success of the 16 Little Black Pigs Pinot Grigio, we thought we'd create a slightly upscale version of it with the help of Mr. Steve Grimley, our man Down Under. Like its junior peer, this wine is full of easy, lemon-infused scents and an exuberant, crisp vitality, citrus fruit at its heart, crunchy acidity and a long, lively finish - but all with added intensity. We don't want to complicate a good formula, so we haven't.
