Writers' Tears is a cracking Irish Whiskey, unique and utterly delicious. It is packed with character and complexity. There's a huge amount going on once you get it poured and in the glass, with notes of orchard fruit, especially freshly sliced apple, lifted vanilla, expressive ginger spice and, on the palate, it is perfectly balanced, rounded by sweet fruit notes and the finish is about as elegant as whiskey gets. It is triple distilled entirely from barley (both malted and un-malted), non-peated and matured in flame charred American oak bourbon casks.
