The Kaikyo Distillery was created in 2017 as a new venture for the Yonezawa family, who have been making artisan Sake in Akashi City since 1856 and in 1917 they started distilling Shochu. Today, Kimio Yonezawa, the Master Blender and Head Distiller, uses his experience and heritage to follow his dream to establish the Kaikyo distillery. This expression is a beautifully balanced artisan blend of 5 to 6 year old single malt, produced in very small batches of less than 20 casks.
Back Story Back Story

The Perfect Serve The Perfect Serve
We love the delicate flavours and subtle complexity of this excellent Japanese pure malt expression and our advice is to enjoy it neat with an ice cube. Add 40ml to a nice tumbler, add your ice and gentle stir for 30 seconds or so to let the ice melt slightly and just bring the alcohol level down a tad. Now sit back and take your time to pick out all the wonderful aromas and flavours that are held within your glass.
