The Spirit The Spirit
Japan
A delicious Japanese whisky that is wonderfully crisp and fresh with delicate peat smoke notes. This is an unaged expression and is blended by Master Blender Keizo Saji at Suntory's incredible Hakushu Distillery. He masterfully brings together hand selected barrels of varying ages and levels of peaty intensity to create a stunning whisky which is both bright and vibrant with layers of fruity complexity.
The Distillery The Distillery
The House of Suntory was founded by Shinjiro Torii in 1899. He embarked on his journey with a very clear vision as to what he wanted to achieve - to craft top-class, authentic Japanese spirits that were delicately flavoured to suit the nation's tastes. Over 100 years on and they now produce a range of stunning spirits that are loved the world over. The Hakushu Distillery was built in 1979 by Shinjiro's son, Keizo Saji, who clearly inherited his father's pioneering spirit! Hakushu is nestled deep in the Mountains of Japan's Southern Alps and with a local water source of exceptional purity the 'house style' shows wonderful freshness and delicate peaty notes.
