The grain for this iconic whisky is grown especially for Bruichladdich by Mark & Rohaise French at their Rockside Farm on the island of Islay. The salt laden soil, washed by frequent Atlantic showers and warmed by a late summer sun, produces grain that gives the strong character of this whisky. Unlike most Islay whiskies this bottling is unpeated, giving us a rare opportunity to taste a very pure expression of the barley used. A terroir specific whisky of great depth and character.
