We have been on the lookout for a top-class tequila coffee liqueur from the moment we found out that Patron were going to discontinue their coffee expression! The offering from Cazcabel was by far and away the best we tasted and so we've added it to our portfolio. It is exceptionally well balanced with the delicate natural sweetness from the coffee working perfectly with the premium tequila to create a silky smooth and very drinkable liqueur.
The Distillery The Distillery
Cazcabel tequilas are created at an independent micro distillery in the dusty town of Arandas, located in the upper parts of the Jalisco mountains in Mexico. The elevation of the region ensures that the agave has plenty of water and the mineral and nutrient rich soil is ideally suited to growing a very high-quality crop. The conditions in fact allow them to grow larger than anywhere else in Jalisco!
The Perfect Serve The Perfect Serve
We had a little mixing session with this and found it works magically in a white Russian. Just switch out your usual coffee liqueur for this one. You'll need a nice tumbler and a shaker. Pop a large ice cube into your shaker with 50ml of vodka, 20ml of coffee liqueur and 10ml of cream and give it a good shake. Pour into a tumbler, including the ice cube and indulge.
