Adnams have been brewing beer since 1872 but it wasn't until 2010 that they opened their shiny new distillery at Sloe Bay Brewery in Southwold, on the Suffolk coast. The entire distilling process is taken care of in-house and, as such, are one of the few distilleries to truly be able to go from grain to glass. First Rate is distilled from three locally grown grains, barley, wheat and oats and infused with thirteen carefully selected botanicals. It really is a first rate spirit!
