The Beer The Beer

Region:The story of Augustiner dates back to... wait for it... 1328! This was the year that records show the first beer was brewed by Augustinian monks in their monastery just outside Munich. As you might imagine there's a history rich with beer-related anecdotes between then and now such was the local reputation of this beer, but there isn't enough space here to go into that here! The brewery is now privately owned but in terms of its output it is simply a continuation of the previous 700 years.
