Produced only in exceptional vintages, Henners Blanc de Blancs is a blend of 100% Chardonnay, which Collette and her small team select from their finest chalk soil plots. Her aim is to ensure that the wine has the fruit character, structure and elegance required for extended ageing. Nothing is rushed in the creation of this exquisite sparkling wine as it is matured on lees for a minimum of 36 months before release. The culmination of years of work, this Blanc de Blancs typifies the linear purity of this classic sparkling style whilst expressing a singular year. The balance between refreshingly crisp acidity and rich flavours - such as baked apples, pastry, marzipan, and tangerine zest - is enchanting and lingers long after the last sip.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Collette O'Leary
The Henners wines are made by a small team of just three people: Collette, Will and Samantha. They are involved in every aspect of wine production; from grape to glass. In fact, each team member will handle every bottle two or three times before release and has oversight of every element. Collette joined the team as Head Winemaker in 2019 and really is a tour de force. She oversees the day to day running of the Estate and all aspects of wine production at Henners. Her mission has been to reinvigorate the brand and develop the winery with cutting edge technology to make sure every wine is flawless.
