The Wine

Country of origin:

France

Region:

IGP Mediterranean

The Mediterranean has provided inspiration to some of history's most talented artists and this series of wines (Artists' Playground) doffs the cap to their most colourful and eye-catching pieces. The image of brightly coloured boats bobbing in the harbour is one of the most memorable from visits to spots along France's southern coastline and like the famous artists themselves was an inspiration to the label design. So, pour yourself a chilled glass of this berry fruit-laden rosé and let yourself be whisked away to a sunny seashore, if only metaphorically on this occasion.

The Winemaker

Julien Dugas
Winemaker:

Julien Dugas

Julien is a real 'man on the ground', spending any available day out of the winery in the vines with his growers keeping in close contact with the fruit which, in his opinion (and ours), is key to making great wine.

"I always look to keep the colour light on my Mediterranean rosé, but not too pale, as with a little extra depth to the colour comes a touch more brightness and depth to the fruit character which makes it complete as a wine." - Julien Dugas, Winemaker.
