This one of the most exciting and producers in the whole of the Loire Valley, and that is quite a statement considering how many progressive winemakers there are in this part of France. With a biodynamic and organic approach in the vineyards and only natural yeast fermentations taking place in the winery, their wines have a true sense of place and a wonderful purity and concentration to everything they bottle. It doesn't get much more experimental than this, but this is one of those wines that being creative, and daring has really paid off. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc and using the same winemaking technique employed in Beaujolais (Carbonic Maceration) to create a unique wine full of bright red fruit and masses of juicy mouth coating goodness.

Rémy Mabileau
Frederic Mabileau is a 28ha estate, in Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, in the Loire Valley's Touraine region, and is considered one of the world's greatest producers of Cabernet Franc. The Domaine is family owned and today is run by Frederic's wife, Natalie, and her two sons, Charly and Rémy, since the tragic passing of Frederic in August 2020. Frederic's vison and philosophy lives on today at the estate through continuing experimentation and a dedication to organic and biodynamic viticulture.
