The Wine

Country of origin:

Germany

Region:

Mosel

For over 200 years the Langguth family have been dedicated to creating premium wines. From the steep south facing vineyards on the banks of the Mosel, they have hand selected only their best and fully ripe grapes to be used within this Grosses Gewachs wine. This results in a wine with a touch of minerality balanced with aromas of lime, apple, and peach. An exquisite example of the true craftsmanship that the Langguth Family have to offer and an amazing reflection of the terroir.

The Winemaker

Peter Burens
Winemaker:

Peter Burens

After years of apprenticeships and hiking through vineyards in Germany and Oregon, Peter started making his own wines in 2015. Together with his wife Eva they are constantly pushing boundaries and creating exceptional wines.

"We like to let the grapes do the talking within our Grosses Gewachs wine. By choosing our ripest grapes, and minimal intervention in the winery, we have created a wine that is a true reflection of the amazing terroir in Mosel with bold minerality balanced by notes of lime, apple, and peach." - Peter Burens, Winemaker.

I was anticipating this wine with relish but it was a tad too sweet for me! Very drinkable but more as a dessert wine me thinks!
