The Wine The Wine
Australia
Region:South Australia
This wine commemorates three weeks of Jungle life, with highs and lows, great friendships made and a few challenges that felt like you were "Up the Creek". An Australian Shiraz with sweet cherry fruit and a smoky complexity that comes from toasted oak, this red is a guaranteed crowd pleaser much as the King of the Jungle himself! We'd even recommend decanting it for an hour or two to get the very most from every glass, and serve alongside a few bangers from the BBQ or any other charred veg and meats.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Frederique Perrin
Frederique was the Technical Director at Cape Mentelle in Margaret River for five years before joining the team at Miles From Nowhere. She has qualifications in Viticulture, Oenology and Wine Business in both France and Australia and has made wine for the last 22 years in France, Australia, the United States and Latin America. She likes her wines to create occasions for passionate conversations, new friendships and enjoyment rather than them being objects of flavour dissection and complicated food pairings.
"A lovely savoury nose showing hints of spice and coffee is complemented by a flavoursome palate of ripe fruits, spice and dark chocolate. It's a great expression of Australian Shiraz." - Frederique Perrin, Winemaker.
