This wine comes from some of the highest-altitude vineyards in Mendoza at over 1000m above sea level. The quality of the grapes is elevated by the cooler temperatures, which balance the intensity of the sunshine and create a long ripening period. The resulting wines have an alluring combination power and finesse, making this a very special bottle of Malbec indeed.

El Sabio Pinot Noir 2021

We were on the hunt for an excellent Pinot Noir and it was at an extensive tasting with the super-talented Oscar Salas at Vinña Santa Rita that we finally found it. El Sabio is made with superb, full-blooded fruit from the Valle Aconcagua region. It has sweet cherry charm and, although it has typical varietal softness, a small proportion of it was matured in older American and French oak to add roundness and generosity to the wine.

Albacore Longfin Shiraz 2021

We commissioned this wine from our winemaking team in Oz to push the limit on the massively popular Albacore red and they have delivered in spades. This lavish creation has all the hallmarks of a top wine; beautifully textured, layered and lush fruit that fills the mouth, as well as a classic Aussie richness of fruit. It will also cellar well for at least a decade leaving you, at the end (should you make it), with a much more gastronomic and complex beast. Try it (at any time) with rare beef.

The Black Pig Viognier 2023

All too often Viognier is just too much. Too intensely aromatic. Too rich. Too alcoholic. But! When you turn it down from 11 and aim for a solid 8 you can really appreciate the flavour profile of this classy grape variety. We don't put anything under our huge 'Black Pig' label unless it really is the cream of the crop, so expect no pulled punches here. This wine bridges the gap between New World fruitiness and Old World elegance. Plenty of stone fruit character with a freshness that belies the warm clime.

Sauvignon Blanc loves the Chilean climate and benefits from cooling Pacific breezes and lovely, clear, sunny days. At harvest, which takes place from the end of February to the middle of March each vintage, grapes of wonderful concentration and vibrancy are hand-harvested before cool fermentation to preserve Sauvignon Blanc's racy goodness. Crisp and zingy with mouth-watering citrus and peach fruit. This is a white to serve chilled with good company.

Billy Bosch Highwire Chenin Blanc 2023

This region is red-hot in terms of hype and is home to many of the Cape's most exciting winemakers. Here the dry-farmed vines produce tight crops of excellent-quality grapes. Billy Bosch Highwire Chenin Blanc is made from the finest dry-grown bush-vines. Winemaker Willie Stofberg harnesses this naturally formed nectar to create an enigmatic and characterful white with plenty of weight. Pear and orchard fruit leads on to a seamless citrus and mineral-laden finish. Simply ravishing.
