Not only is Steve Grimley a very fine winemaker, but he also breeds pigs. Well, rather he holds them in a field and they do the rest. Things have spiralled since his first two pairs, and the population are threatening to over-run the vines, now being in the fourth generation (the vines that is). This delicious rosé bears the second generation and goes a long way to provide a perfect, rose-petal and strawberry-scented pink, reminiscent of summertime.

Graceful and beguiling, Provence rosé tends to command a higher price than other rosés. With many pushing £20 per bottle, we found this elegant example from a small co-op which offers exceptional value for money. Sadly it's not had Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie walking through the vineyard like at Miraval, but it has all the great taste of this iconic style without the aspirational price tag.

This wine is made in the stunning vineyard area of the Aude, in western Roussillon. It's a viticultural paradise that sits in close to the might Pyrenees. Jean-Luc Terrier, the winemaker, also has an estate in Burgundy and applies all his knowledge equally in both domains. This pale pink wine has a complex nose of red fruits, peach, and flowers. It is fresh and fruity, with a light body, and an aromatic finesse. It's thirst-slaking and quite ravishing.

Carefully blending up from small batches to get to the right flavour profile and style we know our customers love. This rosé is driven by Pinot Noir with a little support from the somewhat obscure Italian variety Arneis. Packed with ripe strawberry and raspberry fruit character and a palate that finishes with a crunch and leaves you looking forward to your next sip.
