This 10 year old single malt from Isle of Jura is aged first up in American white oak bourbon barrels and then finished in oloroso sherry butts. The first period in American casks lends a wonderful depth of vanilla to this classy dram, and of course a touch of spice, but the complexity is down to the old sherry butts and the gentle sweetness it imparts. A whisky that displays the subtle smoke character of Jura single malts combined with the mellowing of time in wood.

Situated just 60 miles off the west coast of Scotland, Jura only has one road, one pub and one distillery! The local population of around 200 people are outnumbered by the native Red deer an incredible 30 to 1! It's hard to measure the importance the distillery plays in the island community, it is not only the largest employer, but is vital in sustaining the local economy. The people of Jura are ingrained in the distillery and their passion is key in making the iconic flavours that diversify throughout the range from the Journey through to the 21 year old single malt.
The Perfect Serve The Perfect Serve
The light smokiness and gentle sweetness of the Jura 10 Year Old lends itself to making a very simple long drink. Add ice to a highball glass, drop in a wedge of lemon or lime, add 35ml of Jura 10yo and top up with soda water. Stir with a cocktail spoon and savour.
