This is a wonderful artisanal Limoncello from the legendary Tosolini family. Founder Bepi set up his distillery in north eastern Italy after the end of World War II and he is widely regarded as the man who changed the way we look at grappa, turning it into a quality and characterful spirit. This is a high-end Limoncello that is crafted using summer and winter lemons from the Amalfi coast. Only the peel is used and it is steeped in neutral grape spirit where the oils are slowly released and infuse the spirit with vibrant lemon fruitiness. The liqueur is finished with the addition of a simple syrup and the result is a very fine Limoncello with masses of citrus intensity.

The Tosolini Company was founded by Bepi Tosolini shortly after WWII and is based on the natural and simple family tradition of grappa production. It was during the 1950s that things really started to gather some pace and Bepi went ahead and constructed a new distillery and, at the same time, built the largest grappa cellar in Italy! Today, Giovanni, Bepi's eldest son, continues with the philosophy, and family tradition instilled by his father.

You can serve this neat with ice or we think it makes a wonderfully refreshing, and beautifully simple fizzy aperitif. Pour 15ml of limoncello into a flute and top-up with a fruit Prosecco. We use our excellent Senti Extra Dry.
