The Spirit The Spirit

The added weight and texture on the palate of an Old Tom style gin means it can carry and handle the power of some of the more intense botanicals and, for our expression, we decided to ramp up the citrus kick of lemon and the heat and spice of chilli. They work wonderfully well together and rather than jostle for top spot, they weave as one to create a perfectly harmonised gin. The natural, clear yellow hue makes for a beautiful looking gin and tonic with a plenty of zest and warming spice.

We teamed up with Master Distiller Jake Wilson to craft this exclusive limited release London dry gin. He's been plying his trade for seven years now and he joined Bullards just before we started on this project, a very timely arrival indeed! He's at the top of the stack in terms of his approach to crafting top-end spirits and he was a joy to work with. We'll be teaming up again so keep an eye out for new releases.
The Perfect Serve The Perfect Serve
Using our L&C Old Tom in a negroni adds a lick of spice and intense lemon freshness. Add equal measures (20 to 25ml) of Old Tom Gin, vermouth and Campari to a rocks glass with a large chunk of ice. Stir to combine and garnish with a large twist of lemon peel and a medium sized dried chilli - be careful if you eat it!
