No.3 London Dry Gin is a spirit born of perfection. Everything about its production is carried out to very exacting standards, all under the watchful eye of Dr David Clutton - the only person in the world with a PhD in Gin! From the use of a unique 100-year-old, brick-encased copper pot still in Holland, through to the precise weighing out of the 6 botanicals. The result is a masterpiece and one we highly recommend all gin-lovers to try.
The Distillery The Distillery
Using a wonderful 100 year old still in Holland, the team crafts a wonderful gin that is created with precise measures throughout. The 6 botanicals are weighed out exactly. They are added to the still and steeped for 16 hours in super-pure grain spirit. The next day the distillation begins and lasts 7 hours at which point the Master Distiller collects the 'heart' of the distillate. The gin is then triple-checked to ensure it is nothing short of spectacular! Finally they bring the gin down to a precise 46% abv and it's ready to be bottled.
The Perfect Serve The Perfect Serve
You can of course use No.3 in a negroni or a gin martini but we think the perfect serve is to make a classic gin and tonic. Build over ice in a Hi-ball glass using 50ml gin, 150ml full fat tonic water and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a slice of pink grapefruit.
